Transforming Lives Through Innovation

At Remedy Institute, we believe in making mental health care innovative, accessible, and equitable. As a Toronto-based charity, we specialize in integrative treatments and cutting-edge research, setting us apart as leaders in transformative care. From MDMA-assisted therapy for PTSD to community-based mental health initiatives, we provide the resources people need to heal and thrive.

Pioneering Research for Better Care

Our MDMA-assisted therapy trials are bringing hope to those for whom conventional treatments have not worked. These studies explore how MDMA enhances emotional processing, helping clients resolve trauma that once seemed insurmountable.

We’ve launched a groundbreaking MDMA-assisted couples’ therapy trial—the first of its kind in Canada. This study will include 30 couples navigating PTSD, with a unique design that allows every couple access to MDMA therapy at some point in the process.

At Remedy Institute, research informs practice. The insights we gain fuel the development of therapeutic programs, ensuring the best possible care for those we serve.

“In our MDMA trial, I saw clients work through years of unresolved trauma in just a few sessions”, shares one of our clinicians.

“It’s remarkable to witness such profound transformations.”

Breaking Barriers Through the Community Support Program (CSP)

For many, mental health care is inaccessible due to financial and systemic barriers. Our Community Support Program (CSP) provides 1-on-1 therapy for artists, people who identify as 2SLGBTQ+, BIPOC, and youth who cannot otherwise access treatment. Since its inception, CSP has delivered over 390 hours of therapy, giving recipients the chance to heal and grow.

At Remedy Institute we believe that access to mental health care is not a privilege but a right. This program fills critical gaps in the system by ensuring both clients and therapists are supported financially.

"Without the CSP, my clients—many of whom are young people from 2SLGBTQ+ communities—would still be without care," shares a CSP clinician. "Now, they have the consistent, culturally appropriate support they need to thrive."

Why Your Support Matters Now

Despite the progress we’ve made, the need for accessible mental health services continues to grow. Without sustained funding, we risk reducing programs like the CSP and slowing critical MDMA research trials. Your contribution ensures we can keep delivering care to those who need it most.
